The Quinta do Campo, dating from the 13th century, is the only example in Portugal of the medieval architecture of the Cistercian farms, and is also considered to be the best preserved in the Iberian Peninsula. It was classified as a National Public Interest Property in 2005, having been subject to several interventions over the centuries due to the necessary architectural preservation requirements. It is currently a residential and agricultural area par excellence. Quinta do Campo, 1 hour from Lisbon and 2 hours from Oporto, is the starting point for visits to Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos, Peniche, Leiria, Porto de Mós, Ourém, Fátima, Tomar and the entire Central Coast area of the country. It has direct access to Nazaré and the beaches to the South and North (Ericeira, São Martinho do Porto and São Pedro de Moel) and to the Natural Reserve of Serras de Aire e Candeeiros and Pinhal de Leiria. Set in a 64.000 m2 plot of land, the farm is distributed as follows: The main house has eleven suites and nine bedrooms, divided over three floors, accessible from two central corridors that cross the house longitudinally. Ceilings, walls and fireplaces are decorated in wood and stucco, as are the entrance hall, the library and the living room. In addition to the main house, there are eight flats (ranging in size from studio to three-bedroom) with spacious living areas and central heating, ideal for family stays. A conference hall with around 800 m2, ideal for corporate events. A wine cellar, with a barn above, equipped with bar and washrooms, with about 700 m2 each, ideal for social events; which have the support of an industrial kitchen with warehouse and pantry. Besides this interior space, the central patio of the centenary buildings allows for social events with a capacity for about 1,000 people. Exterior area with about 20,000 m2, where there are five distinct spaces for parking cars during events; and fruit trees in the vegetable garden with about 40,000 m2.
